Davido, who recently announced his acquisition of a house on Banana Island, has shared a glimpse of the interior of his new home.
The musician revealed Saturday that he managed to buy the expensive property with the revenue accrued from sales and streams of his 2017 monster hit ‘Fall’
Davido sings about “bananas falling [on] someone” in the track that barely two weeks was certified Gold in Canada.
Taking to his Instagram page to flaunt the house, he shared a video along with the caption “Wait I dey come”.
‘A sick audio clout life’
Controversial investigative journalist Kemi Olunloyo has slammed the singer, saying his claim of acquiring a new house on Banana Island is a blatant lie.
She accuses Davido of chasing clout with fake lifestyle on social media.
“David Adeleke didn’t post the title of his house. You told us you are buying a new private jet, it was your dad’s. Cooking show for Chioma, never launched, Porsche for Chioma never driven, Wike gave you money to groom artists, no artist. A sick audio clout life,” she wrote on Twitter.
Kemi dared Davido on Twitter to provide evidence of ownership of the property in question as it’s the only way to vindicate himself.
She continued, “In property law, a title is a bundle of rights in a piece of property in which a party may own either a legal interest or equitable interest. It also refers to a formal document, such as a deed, that serves as evidence of ownership. Post your title and deed papers #Kemitalks”.
