Actress Funke Akindele has rendered an apology to her fans on social media after she and husband JJC Skillz were slammed for hosting a house party despite the lockdown order amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The mother-of-twins in a 3-minute Instagram video expressed her regrets, saying that she’ll never intentionally mislead anybody in this perilous times.
Funke explained that everyone that was present at the party was a part of the filming crew of a project that’d been in the offing before government initiated a lockdown in a move to curb the spread of the virus.
She concluded by apologizing and promising to practice what she preaches.
“Dear Friends, I really have to do this!!
“I hear you all and I acknowledge all your honest feedback. I also thank you for your concerns, well wishes and calls,” she said.
“I am sorry and hope this video offers some explanation.”
Her husband had previously offered explanation on the development with a video in which he justified that their action was not in deliberate defiance to the social distancing directive by government and WHO.
JJC strolled round the Amen Estate where the event took place, explaining that all those who attended the party have been in Amen Estate with them. He also added that Eniola Badmus quarantined in the estate and after 14 days, showed no symptoms.
