Actress Eniola Badmus has been criticised for not complying with the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control’s (NCDC) 14 days self-isolation directive for travelers, aimed at curbing the spread of coronavirus.
The Nollywood star on Monday returned from the UK, which has been greatly impacted by the virus, and already has been in contact with some of her colleagues including Funke Akindele.
Eniola’s action has infuriated many and triggered condemnation from members of the public who believe she is putting people at risk.
Eniola Badmus, however, defended herself in a tweet she shared. The actress stated that she has been indoors since she returned from London and only drove in her car to visit a friend, after which she returned home.
She had disclosed that she practised social distancing during her stay in London but had to fly down for a movie shoot to avoid the lockdown initiated by Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
Upon arriving in Lagos, she shared a post mocking persons who wanted her to stay back in the UK.
