Nigerian actress Halima Abubakar has thrown subtle shade on social media targeted at persons who use gossip as a “tool” to find favour from others.
The 34-year-old in a post on her Instagram account appeared to suggest that someone she had gifted some items to has been ‘ungrateful’ by turning around to stab her in the back.
Abubakar claimed that the yet to be identified gossipmonger called her gifts – which includes sneakers and sunglasses worth N60,000 – fake, yet still wears them.
“Don’t you hate when you gift people stuff they call it fake and still keep wearing it?” she asked rhetorically.
The infuriated actress went on to ask that all the items be returned to her if they seemed “cheap” to the beneficiary.
“Pls return my glasses and sneakers. I sell my shades from 60k.i don’t have 20k glasses, if is cheap Biko go to Harrods…”

In a series of updates on her Instagram Stories, she threw cheap shots as she served caution saying “stop using gossip as a bonding tool” primarily because she believes “who gossips to you will gossip about you.”
