South African rapper AKA together with other South African artistes have threatened to boycott the “Africa Unite” concert scheduled to be held in Pretoria, if Burna Boy is not removed from the line up.
Burna Boy who was supposed to headline the concert in South Africa offended South Africans when he insulted them and threatened never to step foot there because of the xenophobic attacks against Nigerians.
A few months down the line, the self-acclaimed African Giant has gone back on his own words and is set to perform for the first time since the incident in South Africa.
Unfortunately, South African artistes are not ready to share a stage with Burna Boy and have written to the Arts and Culture Minister to have the Nigerian artiste removed from the concert unless he apologizes for his comments.

AKA, who was the main target of Burna Boy’s threats has also demanded an apology from him ahead of the show in South Africa.
AKA in a series of tweets, mentioned that he is ready to let by-gones be by-gones if only Burna Boy would render an unqualified apology to South Africans and himself for his comments.
He wrote:
“Ek se … @burnaboy…all we want is an apology. We know 🇿🇦 is not perfect. But we took you in as our own before you reached these levels. You say you are an AFRICAN GIANT, prove it.”
