Nigerian blogger Tunde Ednut has trolled Mercy Eke on social media over the Innoson SUV presented to her after emerging the winner of the 2019 Big Brother Naija reality show.
The SUV is a locally manufactured vehicle by popular Nigerian automobile company Innoson Motors worth N25 million and was awarded to Mercy as part of the N60m prize packages for topping this year’s show.
Tunde Ednut, however, made a mockery of the vehicle in a post shared on his Instagram page, saying Mercy aka “Lambo” deserved a lot better as the first female to win the competition.
According to him, Big Brother Naija should have, at least, given Mercy a Ranger Rover or G-Wagon and not a “NEPA motor” after all the money they made from the show.
Shortly after the comment, the failed singer deleted the post from his Instagram page following the increasing backlash from the Mercy’s fans and other web-users.
The 26-year-old Pepper Dem Gang housemate had already received a cheque of N30 million from Heritage Bank at the grand finale of the show on Sunday where she was announced as the winner.
On Tuesday, October 8, she received her remaining prizes at an event organised at the Big Brother House in Lagos.
Among the prizes is a total home makeover from Scanfrost electronics, one year supply Pepsi, one year supply Munch It and Indomie, a trip for two to Dubai and VVIPP tickets for the European final.
Present at the programme were ex-BBNaija housemates Ike, Frodd, Omashola and Joe who graced the venue with their family and friends.
Seyi attended the event with his girlfriend while Mike attended with his wife, Perri Shakes.
