Personal assistant to the President on news media, Bashir Ahmad has said all reports suggesting Rahama Sadau had been arrested was false.
In earlier reports, Lawal Muhammad Gusau released a press statement on behalf of the Concerned and Peace-Loving Muslim Ummah whereby he listed some conditions that must be met before she defends herself.
However, Bashir says, Kannywood actress Rahama has not been arrested for blasphemy or sentenced to death to that effect either.
I don’t see any good intention in spreading the fake news about Rahama Sadau, I have said it before and I am saying it now, @PoliceNG didn’t arrest Rahama or anyone else,” Ahmad tweeted on Tuesday. Any news about her arrest or her being sentenced to death should be regarded as fake news and incitement.
