Chinese defendants ‘wear PPE to Kenyan court’

A magistrate in Kenya’s coastal city of Mombasa was forced to postpone a case after three Chinese suspects walked in wearing full personal protective equipment (PPE) gear, reports NTV.

The three had been charged with attempting to bribe investigators working on an alleged ticketing scam in Kenya’s railway project.

The suspects’ attire made other people in court panic and consider running away, NTV says, because they mistook them for health ministry officials coming to find a coronavirus patient:
