CEO of Air Peace, Allen Onyema received a round of applause from Nigerians who were rescued from Xenophobic attacks in South Africa.

Over 600 Nigerians expressed interest in leaving South Africa after citizens attacked and killed some Nigerians for allegedly taking their jobs.

Gory images and videos of the xenophobic attacks spread like wildfire on the internet and Air Peace made efforts to extract desperate Nigerians from the country.

On social media, the official account of the flight, shared photos and videos of the first batch of Nigerians who arrived in the country on Wednesday night.

The CEO of the airline, Allen Onyema was at the MMIA Cargo & Hajj Terminal in Lagos to welcome the passengers and he was met with rousing applause and hugs as the Nigerians in the flight thanked him for coming to their rescue.
