Nigerian-American basketball player Al-Farouq Aminu scored 19 points for his team Portland Trail Blazers as they defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 111-98 in Game 4.
The 26-year-old scored the third highest points for his team after CJ McCollum and Damian Lillard who scored 27 and 24 points respectively.
He also made 9 rebounds in the game. Aminu played his 85th game of the NBA season and his 670th in the NBA.
In a post-game interview, Aminu said:
“We don’t focus on doubters, we focus on ourselves. We accept the responsibility of our past two playoff performances and we moved on.
“I think that’s one of the biggest and one of the best things that we did for ourselves, was not hold onto it. We moved on and we’re having a better run now. We just got to finish it.”
Portland will qualify for the semi-finals of the playoffs on Tuesday at home if they beat Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 5.
