Musa, Iwobi, Shehu arrive in Super Eagles camp for AFCON preparations

Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr is just two players away from having the full complement of his squad for the 2019 AFCON following the arrival of Ahmed Musa, Alex Iwobi and Shehu Abdullahi

The three players have arrived at the team’s Golden Tulip Hotel in Asaba, increasing the number of players who have reported so far to 23.

Alex Iwobi is said to have arrived twenty minutes after Musa and Abdullahi checked into the team’s hotel.

The duo of William Troost-Ekong and Odion Ighalo are the only players yet to report to camp however they are expected to be in camp by tomorrow morning.

The Super Eagles have been training at the Stephen Keshi Stadium since Sunday.

They will lock horns with the Warriors Zimbabwe in a friendly game on Saturday after which coach Rohr will announce his final 23-man squad for the tournament.

The team has been scheduled to leave Nigeria for Egypt on Sunday for the second phase of preparation. Whiles in Egypt, they will take on Senegal in another friendly match.
