Super Eagles midfielder John Ogu has assured fans of victory in their last qualifying match against the Pirates of Seychelles.
With Nigeria already qualified for the tournament and the European season reaching its crucial stages, there are concerns that the players will play the game lousily and gift Seychelles their first win of the campaign.
But Ogu holds a dissenting view, stressing the players are determined to end the qualifiers with a win on Friday.
He said that the players regard the game as the first step in their preparations for the tournament in Egypt and will give everything for victory.
“We are here to continue the good streak we have and prepare well for the AFCON. This game is a preparatory game for us and we will be taking it serious,” Ogu told Completesports.com
“The team is in high spirit and we are ready to complete the qualification fixtures on a winning note so all hands are on deck.”
The Eagles have been training since Monday and are ready for tomorrow’s encounter.
Gernot Rohr is expected to ring changes in his starting team with striker Onuachu set to experience his first Super Eagles games.
Three days after the tie, the Eagles will play AFCON host Egypt in the last friendly of the month.
