Nigeria’s Super Eagles wrapped up their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign in style, dispatching Seychelles 3-1 at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba Delta State to finish top of their Group on Friday evening.

Nigeria proved they were the superior side in major parts of the game but it took Odion Ighalo more than sixty minutes to give Nigeria before Melaine Rody drew parity for Seychelles eight minutes later.

However, debutant Henry Onyekuru, restored Nigeria’s lead with a cool header seven minutes into the second half.

Moses Simon came off the substitute’s bench five minute from time to seal the win with a fierce shot inside the box.

The win is Nigeria’s fourth in Group E and finished as group winners with 13 points from six games.

Next up for Nigeria is an international friendly against Egypt on Tuesday at the same Stephen Keshi Stadium Asaba.
